Alancia is a beautiful red roan mare with long legs and a slim structure. She really isn't that tall, standing only around 15.2 hands high. Her face is mainly a dark chestnut with a tiny star right square in the middle of her forehead. Her mane is also this dark chestnut color, but flecks into lighter shades around the ends. Her structure itself isn't very strong, but more so agile and swift. He legs are long, and though she may appear to have a bulky structure, she really doesn't. Alacnia's eyes are a deep chocolate colored brown. Toward the middle of her legs her flecks fade away and leave dark chestnut stockings on both front and her left back, whereas her right hind is flecked down into a chestnut sock.
traits description
*Compassionate ; Alancia is a very compassionate horse. Though she is usually found to be off by herself, she would much rather be in the company of other horses. This will one day make her a very good friend, mate, or mother.
*Loyalty ; Alancia is also very loyal. Not just to her friends but also to her herd and beliefs. It takes more than a lot to tear her away from her loyalties and even when one thinks they are gone, they might still be lingering.
*Violence ; Alancia has a strong dis-pleasant nature when it comes to fighting. When it comes to that fight or flight instinct, Alancia will much likely always use flight. Not only is it against her nature, but her build is not really meant for that sort of treatment either. Her legs are agile and fast, which make flight once again, her first decision when provoked, though rarely she will choose a fight.
*Sharp Tongue ; Though she is a sweet mare, Alancia does have quite the attitude. She not only speaks up for what she believes but can find a debate or argument in just about anything. She is quite respectful, but when things take a turn against her, she is not the kind of horse to back down. Think of her more like an adolescent than an actual full grown mare.
*Submission ; Also going with her decision against violence, Alancia is also pretty prone to submission to horses older, wiser, or stronger than her. There comes a time when she will be more dominant, but at this age, it's all about submission and flight.

her ears swiveled neatly along her head. it had been a long time since she had been out in the hunting grounds to hunt. but, she had to admit, she loved the feel of the moorland under her paws. as she traveled across, her head was held high, ears lifted and flicking one way or another in case something tried to find it's way past her. soon enough, a small gray pelt whizzed out from some kind of hole and tripped over her paws. how convenient..her mind purred as she clicked into hunting mode and was soon racing after the creature, her body in full sprint and paws hardly touching the ground. not too long into the hunt, the mouse was between her paws and all she had to do was knock it to the side and and give it a swift bite to it's spine, killing it pretty much instantly.
a purr of her own triumph and scratched a bit of the earth over it, pausing to taste the air again. being one of the most successful hunters, it would be pretty pathetic if she showed back to the clan with one tiny field mouse, her hunt would have to go much further. and on such a nice day, she had nothing to complain about. twitching her ears, she slunk carefully across the moor, her tail lifted neatly off the ground and bright green eyes flicking from side to side as she tried to find something worthy of her clan. a little white later, she saw it, a plump rabbit nibbling at some kind of plant on the ground. the wind was in her favor, though she always enjoyed the thrill of the chase when it came to rabbits. they tested her speed and her agility, giving the hunt much more of a fun chase. a light hiss from her throat sent the rabbit on the move, and she could here her brother now. 'stop playing with your food pebblestep, it's meant to be killed quickly and eaten.' but the calico she cat had never listened, yes they were meant to be eaten, but why not have a little fun in the process?
she gave the rabbit a bit of a head start then threw her hind paws back and sprinted after it. the more was mostly clear aside from a few bushes and holes that the calico found herself leaping over and bounding as fast as she could to try and clear before the rabbit got too far from her grip. after a few moments she was panting, but she couldn't give up now, she almost had it. just as the rabbit was about to dive into it's hole, pebblestep managed to knock it to the side with a well trained orange paw. the rabbit stumbled, but took off in the opposite direction before the she cat could make her kill. she growled in protest but followed quickly, her legs beginning to tire. but this time, after whizzing around for what felt like forever, the calico knocked the rabbit off balance and snapped it's neck with a clean bite before it could escape.
easing to a stop, she stood there for a while, panting heavy breaths as her sides heaved from the chase. but even so, there was a gleam of excitement hidden in those bright green eyes. whether it was a hard chase or not, in the end, she was the one with the kill in her paws. a purr found itself in her throat as she picked up the rabbit, carrying it back to where she had buried the little mouse. at least now, it was a decent catch that the elders would be pleased with.
