sample post:
The palomino mare’s gaze trailed along the silhouette of the hills until she caught sight of the blinding yellow sun partially hidden by the land. Night was falling, and at a rather fast speed, too. She kept her eyes out for any predators that dared to come near her. As she trotted along the dusty terrain, her muscles rippled, with a golden sheen highlighting some areas of her beautiful display. Increasing her gait to a gallop, her long mane and tail followed her frame. If she didn’t return to the safety of her herd soon, she was available to the predators of the night, who would enjoy snacking on her large offering of flavoursome but tough flesh. Her gaze caught view of a small pond, which she gladly trotted down to and stopped for a drink. Lowering her head, her lips enclosed around the cool liquid, then she proceeded to swallow it. She did this several times in swift motions. After she finished her break, Esperanza headed swiftly for home. Her hooves flung dust behind her as they hit the hard terrain. The mare skidded to a halt as she heard the distant call of her herd members. It was a distressed neigh, and was followed by several other neighs from other herd members. Something was wrong, it seemed. Not finding the urge to check out what on Earth was going on, the mare rotated her body and bolted away in the other direction. Her ears erected at every slight rustle in the bushes, and her body went into panic mode instantly. Her eyes were wide, with fury and fear clouding her gaze. Finding the safety of a small pond enclosed by shrubs and trees, she stayed hidden, even though the sharp pain of twigs poking at the more tender parts of her body was enough to make her want to bolt away into the night again, her instincts told her to stay safe and hidden.
