sample post:
A young horse lifted each leg, stretching tired muscles. For the past week she'd been working hard. If she ever wanted to be out with other horses, she couldn't be weak. That's what mother said. Either way, she wanted to impress the older horses. Or if she got into trouble, like being chased or hunted. Her speed and strength could be in her favor. It wasn't any fun to play with someone who was weak either. Thinking about this for a second, the horse straightened out. Beginning to walk and gradually gain speed, she had a spring in her step. After all Spring was her name. She slowed so she try one more thing. She would have to hurry up though. Stopping, she mustered all her breath.
Spring tossed her head back, a resounding whinny erupting from her muzzle. If only mother wad here, she would be proud. Mother had been chased away from Spring as a filly. With a huff, she lowered her head again. She never knew how she felt. It was always a jumble of emotions. Like now. She felt sad, but she was getting angry, and confused even. In frustration the filly-no, a young adult- reared back. Spring slammed her hooves down and neighed. Get yourself together! To get over her frustration, she decided to run. To run fast. It mattered. She started, her chestnut legs working hard. Spring's legs carried her surprisingly fast around the meadow. After some practice, she would leave the meadow and meet new horses. In just a little while...

traits description
Spring is usually an outgoing person, though around adults she may stutter. She worries they'll judge or scold her. A habit of hers is to prance in place as she talks or even just standing stiil. With all her flaws, Spring is trustworthy, hardworking, and hotheaded.
