Mud awoke with a start. She had just been home, now where was she? It didn't smell like home, and her eyelids where too heavy, she couldn't see. A loud bang shot through the air and Mud jumped to her feet. The ground was hard, and she could move to her left or right. Finding she could open her eyes, she was shocked at what she saw. She stood between two stall sides, each rotting. A rope was the stall door, and even though she saw other horses and stood easily, Mud could tell there was water below her. Horror washes through her. She, was being shipped. The sloshing of water behind her sent shivers of panic up her spine. Swaying, she stepped forward, trying ti see if there were any other horses. Breathing in the dank, musty air, Mud wished she was not here. Peering out from her stall, she saw other stalls, of made of damp, musty oak wood. She appeared to be within the middle stall, and all the others were sadly empty. A single light bulb flickered over the hallway between stalls, it's dim yellow light casting strange shadows all over the walls. The smell of saltwater, humans, fish, old oats, and stale bread floated around in the stale air. Opening her mouth, Mud let out a worried whinny into the air, and it seemed to echo again and again, fading into nothingness. Another bang echoed above her, and a flash flickered through the cracks above her. Mud could only assume there was a storm, or some other natural calamity with lightning. With nothing to do at all, the mare decided to simply get some sleep. But for the longest time, sleep would not come. Suddenly, she was sliding to the left. Her hooves clambered towards the right, a panicked scream escaping her mouth. In a flash, the entire stall rolled right, and as the ceiling loomed closer, Mud's vision went black.
