Running from bachelors
A black tobiano mare trots through the forest thinking what to do. She comes across a river and dips her head in what am i going to do? she thinks as she drinks the cool refreshing water. I need to go he might be following she says to herself before going across the river. Her strong legs help out but the water pulls her down river and into a lake. She shakes off the water and goes into a sun spot to get warm "darn wet land" she shivers. Thats when she noticed the sounds coming from this part of the wetlands, she perks up her ears to listen and it relaxes her. Birds were tweeting and the wind was shaking the trees it all seemed like a lullabuy to get young foals asleep. She layed her head down this seems relaxing she thought closing her eyes and dreaming about the wetland flood that tore her away from home and tore her family away. She opened her eyes stop thinking about that she told herself then heard a noise came from little ways off from where she came. She gets up feeling dry and warm then hides behind a tree.
A second later a band of bachelors come up by the waterfall "she went down there" one said pointing to the tree she had been.
"the only way is down" another said.
One started to go down the rocks but slipped and fell the rest way down. I felt bad but moved away more. The stallion who fell got up and looked up to his friends "help" he said since he had broken his leg. They saw the drop was dangerous and decided to let me go "go find her" they said.
The stallion got scared "what about you guys" he said.
"When you get her bring her to us by these falls" the biggest stallion said.
I snorted and waited till the band left but then the lone stallion came my way. I froze and sinked back farther into the tree. He limped pass me looking around as i ran the opposite direction...
