Siren
"Im scared to get close and I hate being alone, I long for that feeling to not feel at all" The small fea shook her head to get her thick mane from sticking to her small neck the rain was pouring creating a stream coming from her small muzzle. She pinned her ears and scowled at the horizon catching a glimpse of a thickly wooded forest she snorted and shivered as the cold rain pierced through her thinning winter coat. Her legs carried her with out another thought as she cantered toward the dark forest promising of shelter and somewhat warmth from the closely nit leaves. The soggy fea finally retched the forest hesitating slightly by how dark it was. Her evergreen eyes blinked and stared into the dark shadows her body tense and visibly shaking from the over all silence of the area around her. The little fea let out a huge sigh her body deflating showing her ribs and some sores from her travels. She flicked her long slightly matted tail as it slapped against her sides making her wince slightly as her sore on her hip screamed in protest. She sighed and walked carefully into the dark forbidden looking forest in-front of her. Her auds swiveled and flicked at any sound of another's approach. She hopped that today was the day that everything left her alone and didn't harm the small fragile mare making her way through the dark forest. The small being sighed and snorted gently out of her nares she thanked God that the forest concealed her figure her dark blue roan coat. The rain seemingly stopped and the mare sighed and relaxed slightly when the moon shown through the leaves in the tree's dappling her two toned coat with the milky light. The cold pierced her skin chilling her small bones making her shiver and her teeth clench to make them stop from chattering. He breath rushed out in a could of vapors in-front of her dark green eyes. She swung her head from side to side looking for some place warm but to avale. Her body already weak from pains of hunger and weak from thirst. The fea dropped to her knees and fell to her side her body bathed in the cool moon light. She shivered violently and he breath was coming in hard sharp rasps as her body tired desperately to warm itself up. "Help!" She called into the darkness weakly hoping. praying that someone or something would hear her to either put her out of this pain or help her leaning its own warmth for her to steal. "This is it.." The fae thought to he self as he breathing swallowed quickly and she laid there counting the heart beats until her final breath and a final thump of her heavy cold heart "Help! Someone... Anyone" She called out again her voice weaker and fainter So rusty!! :/

| Quietly, the leaves rustled and murmured as though conversing softly amongst themselves in some language of foliage - or perhaps that was just the chill night wind. Was that a hoof stepping gently into loamy soil? It could have been the scurrying of a rodent. But then suddenly the branches parted, as though bowing out of the path of a ruler, and quite suddenly a liquid silver figure materialized from one end of the clearing as though she had stepped out of thin air. The forest had shielded her well, her frosty dapples melting into the patchy shadows of leaves and branches, but the moment she emerged into open air, the darkness fell away like a cloak and the moonlight caught and ignited her pale figure like a matchstick on oil, bursting into white brilliance. Like a specter she glided over to the prone form on the forest floor, the liquid dark eyes gazing out of an eerily beautiful face with a detached apathy almost bordering on the supernatural. Once, twice the ghostly mare circled the young mare, who looked hardly more than a filly in her eyes, taking on a slow, sinuous walk that looked almost reminiscent of a stalking cat. Finally her elegant steps came to a halt just a little ways away, the fatale's dark, critical gaze never removed from the subject of her interest. It was impossible to discern what she was thinking from that beautiful, albeit mask-like visage, especially in the oppressive lighting that sunk her deep violet eyes into abyssal pools of shadow in her face. Nor did her tones betray any particular excess of emotion, when she finally decided to speak. "Well, well," she murmured, her rich voice barely above a purr of sound. "And who might you be?"TAG » MUSE » STATUS » WORDS » NOTES »

| If Grimoire Heart was bothered by the rain, she certainly didn't display any sign of it on that implacable exterior of carved marble. In fact, she hardly seemed to notice the drizzle at all, even as her stark white tresses were gradually slicked flat against her arched nape and the liquid began to drip off of her tail in droplets and then rivulets. She blinked more rapidly to rid her sweeping lashes of the beads of moisture that clung to them like dew, but otherwise the dappled grey mare seemed completely undistracted from watching the filly lying at her hooves. To her eyes, the pale roan filly looked more nervous than frightened. Did she feel herself safe because the one who approached was a mare, rather than a big scary stallion or a slavering wolf? If that was the case, then the naïve little girl had much to learn about the world around her. She had a name, at least, and she spoke it without indication of the anxiety that her body language practically screamed. As helpful as it was to know her name, however, it told her little about who the young mare really was, and the austere, rather removed expression on Grimoire's face didn't even waver an inch as she continued her scouring appraisal and interrogation. "What are you doing here, so late at night, Siren?" she asked, her words even and smooth as velvet and colored with just a twinge of curiosity. The little mare's apparent plight didn't seem to so much as ruffle a feather on Grimm, as she simply observed with all the objective detachedness of an investigator. Almost delicately she stretched out that elegant neck to study the sore on the mare's roan flank, dark eyes narrowing just a bit as she considered the possibilities of where she might have picked up such a wound. Half to herself, she added, "And what have you been doing out in the world?" A young mare like herself should have still been tucked away in the safe wings of a herd to watch out for her, especially if she wasn't strong enough to forge her own path in the great wide wild. Injured, alone, and seemingly too exhausted to even stand, this little girl was nothing but a sitting duck for any wolves that happened to pass her way. Not just the canine kind, either. And perhaps the little duck didn't know it yet, but if someone or something with unsavory intentions happened by just now, Grimoire was not the type to feel any particular need to protect a vulnerable stranger. Siren "I'm scared to get close and I hate being alone, I long for that feeling to not feel at all"
the little mare watched the marble statue before her seemingly unaffected by the cold drizzle bearing down on the pair causing rivers to stream down her long tail. The fea snorted and watched the water droplets flick off the ghost's long eyelashes that framed her deep violet eyes. Siren's auds flicked and pricked watching the mare before her stare intently back. What bothered the little roan mare was how emotionless the mare was, she seem so calm, cool, and collected measuring her emotions so well; Siren envied her somewhat, her emotions were raging and her nerves were causing her small body to shake along with the cold. But all in all Siren had never encountered an equine like this mare. Most equines would express worry or concern for a mare in her distress and condition. The filly huffed slightly when the ghost remained quiet continuing her stare her eyes racking Siren's emaciated bodice like it was some new art piece being looked at by a critic. Finally the statue broke and spoke in question for the mare. What are doing here, so late at night Siren? she asked Siren answered immediately "I have been wondering and running from a group of relentless bacholars, whom were loyal to my late father. My eldest brother killed my father some months back when my father killed my mother and proceeded to try to kill me. So they are coming back to avenge my father's wishes... To kill me.." Siren replied the smooth velvet tone of the mare's voice reminding her of her mothers voice. "Might I ask what your name is?" Siren asked her body relaxing a fraction as she watched the mare move to her hip and stretch her neck to look at one of the many sore's on Siren's small body. Siren shifted uncomfortably under the mare's gaze. Her ears pricked to catch the mare's second question And what have you been doing out in the world?, Siren thought about it for a brief moment and finally answered "I have been looking for some place to hide and rest maybe I wouldn't look so poor" she said with a soft sad sigh as she turned her head to look at her protruding hips and ribs. Siren knew a mare her age should be in a herd protected by a strong stallion and she knew of the serious dangers that lurk around in dark forests like the very one she was down in now. The little fea considered her self lucky to be found by this mare. She could of been found by a lurking stallion wanting to take advantage of her helpless situation. Or she could have been found by a hungry pack of wolves looking for a quick and easy meal. The thought of the possibilities made the mare shiver more. "Again might I ask what you are doing out so late? Don't get me wrong I'm happy you found me not some stallion. But one must ask the same questions as my mother would say. It only makes for good conversation, or to try to avoid the uncomfortable silence. I hate the silence.." The little mare rambled on her nerves jumping slightly causing her voice to waver at the mention of her mother. She miss her so much; her warmth, her voice and her laugh. Everything about her mother she wish she were here to protect her. All the fea needed was a older mare to guide her and take her under her wing so she could continue learning about how the world works. The little mare sighed and continued to watch the ghost mare before her Words: 629
