four / mateless / herdless / rankless The scent of spring was in the air, the birds were flying about the heads of horses and singing their songs. It was an annoyance to some horses, especially the black beast that was now roaming the lands he had found were known as Sayalegar. What a strange name... The stallion shook his head, snorting at the birds that nearly hit his cranium. "Away with you, silly creatures." The stallions voice bellowed in a strange accent, one that to the ears of humans would have sounded Scottish. The stallion looked around, already having to kick a mare for even thinking she had caught his attention when she came up with her pathetic game of charm and seduction. Though she might have smelt nice, the stallion had morals and his father would have haunted him for life had he allowed his body to touch the mutt of a mare.
Tossing his head, he looked around the evergreen forest and up at the mountains that seemed to play with the sky above, the clouds swirling around their tops as if playing a game of merry-go-around. It was dry, but the sound of a near by stream echoed throughout the trees. At the moment, Felix was not trying to find a home, merely scouting the area. Besides, finding a home meant having a herd land and though he desperately wanted a pure herd, he had a feeling that a mixed herd was all he would find. At least his mate could be pure or a mare that would be better for his offspring. ●● WORD COUNT ●● 260 ●● COMMENTS ●● ^_^ Yea, he is kinda an asshole ●● TAGS ●● none ●● SONGS ●● none ●● COLORS ●● speech ●● CHARACTER USED ●● felix hell

It was spring, and that meant that the animals were losing their minds... all of them, including horses. It was hard to deny the urges that swept so strongly over your body, demanding you to breed so that your foal would be born during the warmth of the next spring. But presently, Atlanta had no issues with ignoring those urges. Every time she even considered succumbing, all she could see were the glazed eyes of her first colt, who had only lived a precious few hours. As much as she hated the father that had forced him into her before her body was ready, she loved the little colt who had taken refuge in her womb. She bitterly regretted the fact that he had not made it; little Atlantis. She'd named him after her brother, whom thanks to their awful mother, had only lived a few months. Atlantis. The name almost seemed cursed, but that was silly. She hadn't named the foal until after he had died. "Away with you, silly creatures."The young mare's ears pricked with interest as a strange voice echoed through the valley. It was definitely the voice of a stallion. Against her better judgement, the dappled mare followed the voice. Ever since losing her colt and fleeing the lands that had once been her father's, Atlanta had been very reckless. She felt but a mere prick of regret when she came up on the huge beast. Black as the darkest night, every part of him. And even though she was not small by any means, this stallion towered over her. He would tower over most, she guessed. She stood quite still for a moment, taking him in, before she finally decided to speak. "But can you blame them?" She questioned, a spark of amusement in her eyes. "The poor stupid things are just acting upon urges that they are too underdeveloped to understand." Her face tilted upward slightly as she watched another pair of birds fly around each other.
