moniker: Bea

●●KEEPING UP APPEARANCES
physical description:
Bea is a 13.1 hh mare. In the summer her coat if a bright blood bay that is naturally shiny. In the winter, her coat turns to a dense mass of dark bay hair, good for protection from the cold. The black of her legs reaches just over her knees and hocks. Bea's mane and tail are both thick and unruelly. She has a sharp brown eye that rarely softens and a proud way of carrying her head. She is of the heavier stock of New Forest ponies but she does not lack their speed, stamina and agility. Nor their sense of adventure. She has one marking, a thick strip down her face that oddly strays to the side, as if a chunk is missing.
traits description
Bea has had a hard life and that has hardened her heart to most forms off compassionate thinking. Her main reasoning is 'hurt them before they hurt you', as it has been since she was betrayed and her heart broken by someone she had thought of as a friend. Love is an abstract to her, an oasis that is untouchable for ones such as herself. Her trust is hard earned, easily broken but incredibly precious. She has had two herds in her life, the one she was born into she stayed til her fourth year and the second she stayed until she was ten years old. Since then she has wandered nomadically, tending to avoid contact with other equines when she can. But two years is a long time to be alone and she is now finding the need for company growing stronger every day.

A shocked laugh rippled out of the diamond hearted fae. Forbidden had had no wolf her age to frolic with as a pup and so did not innitially know how to react. The growl that issued from her throat as she was deposited on her back was playful and light, a sound she had yet to of made priorly. A true, heartfelt laugh issued from her as Rose looked down at her uncertainly. I really have changed. The wolf she had once been would never have been deposited on her back so easily, for the mere fact she had never been so comfortable in anothers presence to have not noted the movement as a threatening one. Rose's throat would have been her's before either had known what had gone on. Instead she nibbled at the paws that were braced against her side and jumped up, claiming the others tail before leaping onto the tiny she-wolf's back to tug at her ears.
Eventually she settled herself beside Rose again, this time to ponder the fae's words as they both gazed across the glassy surface of the lake. Her tail thumped absently as she thought. Rose had had troubles with Alpha's too, she had faced demons and hardship just as Forbidden had. She's so full of light, Forbidden marveled. This fae who had suffered the loss of her pack and nearly her life was so full of light and energy. She inspired the winter fae to do better. To be more than a killer. She nuzzled the side of Rose's head as she spoke in quiet tones. " I understand what it's like to be on ones deathbed, to have lost everything you stand for. To lose the person you were and hoped to become in place of some monsterous feined that only lived to hide in the shadows, away from that which might understand it's plight.
The pack I was born into was neither educated nor friendly. I was too small, too strange, too different and I was reminded of that every day that I lived. First I chased of my sister, then murdered my Alpha. Both acts that nearly physically destroyed me. I was so focused on getting strong that when I left my pack all I could think about was how to hurt others before they could hurt me. I lost my mind without ever realising it". Her voice had become a desperate whisper, as if willing someone to see the monster that lay within her soul and give it kind words rather than a harsh blow. "I destroyed nearly all that was logical of me for fear of seeing the truth. Guilt is a terrible thing, I do not hate myself for hiding from it for so long. In the past year though specks of light have begun to shine in the blackness that was me, each like their own star. One of them is now you, for the joy you seem to have in life is something I would much like to share". A calm smile stole upon her lips as she uttered the last sentance. Her pale golden eyes stared steadily out across the lake as she awaited a response from the ivory fae she could now think of as her friend. My best friend. The auburn and yellow rays of the sun danced across the water, a slight wind stiring the glass top to create ripples that bounced the light of off one another. Curious, how much can change in the fall and rise of that great heated orb.
